We went to Cañete with business partners and I can guarantee that I will never visit Barcelona again without visiting this place! It was AMAZING! We had to wait 20 minutes before we could get seated but it was well worth the wait. Our waitress/chef was incredibly helpful and provided us suggestions which we happily all tried and ordered extras from, unlike other places where they tend to suggest the most expensive things, she didn't and the recommendations were incredible in terms of flavor and quality ingredients. Cannot recommend this place enough!

What a wonderful experience. Started a little slow... there was an issue with our request for a vermouth I think... they sold out and it took a little while to figure it out. And they more than made up for it with fantastic food, presentation, and fabulous service. We felt so cared for. Ate a number of dishes and had several wines... each was WONDERFUL. The frequent change for fresh tapas plates and utensils was a nice touch too. We actually considered coming back for dinner the same day.

Went to Bar Cañete for an early lunch on a Friday, and shared 1 starter, 3 main tapas, and 1 dessert between two people. The food was all delicious (sweetbreads and monkfish with mushrooms were both great dishes). The wine selection also good, but the beer just ok (Moritz). Seating at the bar allows for a nice view of the open kitchen (although your clothes will smell a bit). Service was fast and pleasant (able and willing to switch between Catalan, Spanish and basic English). Prices are not cheap, but the produce was fresh and the overall experience was also very good.

Right off the popular Rambla. Staff speaks excellent English. This is the place to go if you are not daring enough to try restaurants in less touristy neighborhoods. Sit at the bar to see the crew working and for a bit of conversation with them. Food quality is good and just a tiny bit more expensive than less touristy areas. The grilled octopus and the steak tartar are very good.

Make reservation if you can, we were very lucky seated very quickly, but there was a long line behind us the whole night. Highly recommend d the tender octopus and grilled razor clam.
